Need help finding something?

If you can't find an item by using our search feature, we may have it in stock, but not yet listed for sale in the shop.  Please feel free to contact us to inquire about it.  However, as we are a relatively small shop, the possibility exists that we just don't have it.  In that case, we might be able to conduct a custom search on your behalf.  Here is what we can do.....

What we find

As we have relationships with many other dealers, we can often locate specific items upon request.  This is particularly true with contemporary collectibles items such as collector plates, modern limited edition Barbie & other Mattel dolls, Fenton glass, Hallmark ornaments, and Cardew teapots.  However, we have also been successful in locating vintage items such as general antiques, depression & carnival glass, china dinnerware, and Marilyn Monroe memorabilia.

How it works

1. Write to us and tell us exactly what you are looking for.  Be sure to give us details of the item such as maker, age, color, and size.  We will also need to know exactly what condition is acceptable to you, that is, "mint in box", "no chips or cracks", "some crazing OK", etc.  And, most importantly, tell us the maximum price you are willing to pay for the item, not including shipping costs, so that we know if we can work within your budget.
    
2. When we receive your request, we will do some preliminary research to see if 1) we might be able to find the item, and 2) if we can work within your budget.  We will then get back to you with either a YES or NO as to whether we think we can help you.
    
3. If the answer is YES, the next step is prepayment, so that we can obtain the item on your behalf.  We need to do this for two reasons:  1) so we have funds available to buy the item when we find it, and 2) so we know the buyer is serious about completing the purchase.  Unfortunately, we now have to require prepayment, as we've had people back out of buying after we took time and spent money finding their item.  Prepayments may be made immediately online by credit card through PayPal, or mailed (checks and Money Orders).  We will start the search as soon as funds are received.
    
4. When we find your item, we will have it shipped to us first, so that we can inspect the condition, to be sure it is exactly what you wanted.  Assuming everything is fine, we will then ship the item to you via insured UPS Ground.  Upon shipment, we will have UPS e-mail you the tracking number and scheduled delivery date, so you know when to expect it.  If you live outside the USA, additional shipping charges will apply, as items are mailed by insured international Parcel Post.
    
5. And finally, because we don't expect you to wait forever..... we commit to finding items within 14 days of receiving your prepayment.  If we cannot locate the item within this timeframe, we will provide you with a 100% refund, or continue the search for another 14 days, whichever you prefer.
