RARE!
1880's Victorian Vaseline Hobbs Brockunier Hobnail Glass Tray ~ Interesting,
large and heavy vaseline glass tray measuring approximately 12.5" in
diameter and 1.25" high at the rim. It is shaped somewhat like a
4-leaf clover, with one "leaf" being the largest, the one across from it
slightly smaller, and the two remaining the same size across from each
other. The rim is scalloped, the inside (top) of the tray is smooth,
and the bottom has large hobnails, like those later used by Fenton.
There are no maker's marks, but I believe it to be Dew Drop Glass designed
in West Virginia by J.H. Hobbs, Brockunier & Co. circa 1885. I found
one 0.5" flat flake on the top rim, a small bruise in the top rim, and a
couple tiny fleabites, but I do not consider any of this to be significant
given the age of the piece. As you can see in the photo, it displays
very nicely. Glows brightly in black light. I believe this
tray was part of a pitcher and water glass set. Beautiful! |

rim that is not sharp, and cannot be seen unless the cup is picked up. |

Czechoslovakian Purple &
Clear Art Glass Trumpet Vase ~ Gorgeous deep purple or plum art glass vase with an applied purple splatter base
measuring just under 16" tall, approximately 7" across the
widest part of the top, and weighing just over 8 pounds.
The color is very rich, and the piece is in pristine condition.
Obtained from a Southern California estate and believed to have some
age, although it looks new. There is a gold and black foil sticker
that reads "Glassworks Chribska Czech Republic" on the
side. We acquired two other similar vases from this estate -- one
is pink / cranberry, and the other is purple like this one, but without
the clear glass top rim.
They display beautifully alone or as a set. Purchase all three
and receive FREE insured shipping via UPS Ground in the continental USA. |

Vaseline Green Iridescent Grapes &
Leaves Bowl by
Imperial Glass ~ This lovely piece of glass measures
approximately 5" across and 3" high. It is made of green
vaseline that glows under blacklight. It has a carnival glass type
iridescent finish that reflects all the colors of the rainbow. The bottom
is marked IGL that indicates it was made by Imperial Glass Company between
1973 and 1981. I am not certain of the pattern name, but it is
probably Grape & Leaf or Grape & Cable. It is in perfect
condition with no flaws. A beauty! |

RARE Yellow Vaseline Opalescent Glass ~ Inverted Fan and Feather Card Tray Whimsey
$250 Book Value ~ A very rare and lovely piece of vaseline opalescent glass in excellent condition.
There is one very tiny pinpoint nick on the bottom edge of one leg -- not
easily noticed. The only other "flaws" are normal manufacturing ones - some straw marks and a tiny bubble or
two - and one tiny nick on the bottom edge of one leg.
Believed to be manufactured by Northwood, but could also be Dugan and
Diamond as both companies produced this very pretty pattern. According to the Standard Encyclopedia of Opalescent Glass (3rd edition), the book value of this piece is $250... we are offering it here for less! |

Pink Westmoreland Glass Rose Bowl w/
Opalescent Rim ~ Pretty pressed glass rose bowl shape with an
unusual whimsy flower shaped opalescent rim. It stands just over
4" high to the top petal, and is about 5" across the widest
point. This piece looks to be newer, although I acquired it second
hand. There is a gold foil Westmoreland sticker on the top that
indicates it was "Authentic Hand Made". In perfect
condition with no flaws. |

Black Amethyst or Cobalt Blue
Glass Ashtray ~ Nice quality vintage glass ashtray that appears to be
black at first glance, but shines a gorgeous purple amethyst or a very
deep blue when held up to the light. It measures approximately
5.25" across and 1" tall. It has 3 cigarette indentations,
and 2 raised parallel pieces of glass in the center of the tray. I
believe these raised pieces are a matchbook holder. I'm not a
smoker, so I really don't know for sure. I've seen other ashtrays
with this feature on the side, but not in the middle. In perfect
condition with no chips or cracks. A great piece of glass! |

White Fostoria Heirloom Square Shaped
Whimsey Bowl ~ Beautiful bowl made by Fostoria around the 1960's of clear/white glass with a nice white/blue opalescent finish. It measures approximately 11" across the widest point, and stands about 4" tall. The design is ribbed with a whimsey edge that is curled up to make four sides in a somewhat square shape. Very pretty with no damage. A nice item to add to your vintage glass collection! |

French Sabino White Opalescent Glass
Perfume Bottle w/ Nude Figures ~ We acquired this fantastic art glass
bottle on a recent trip to London. It measures approximately 6"
tall and 2.5" across the widest part of the middle. It features
five lady figures raised around the bottle -- each is in a different poses
-- nude, partial nude, and several draped in flowers with flowing
robes. The piece is in great condition although there is a tiny
pinpoint nick on the elbow of one figure, and a tiny nick on the bottom
edge of the stopper. Both these flaws are relatively minor and
difficult to see under normal inspection. I believe it is a perfume,
but it does not have a dabber. I could not find a makers mark or
signature, but I believe it to be a 1930's design called La Fleure Rond (which
is now called Gaite) by Sabino art glass made in Paris, France. A
very beautiful Art Deco style piece to add to any ladies vanity table! |

British Green Vaseline Glass Octagonal
Optic Pattern Water Pitcher ~ Beautiful bright green vaseline glass
water or milk pitcher found in an antiques market in London. I've
never seen this particular pattern in the US, and have not found another
one like it on the internet. The British dealer I bought it from
told me it was a circa 1930's British made depression glass
manufacturer. The exact maker, pattern and age are not known, but I
do believe it to be of this vintage. The pitcher measures about
6.5" tall and 7.5" wide from handle to spout, and quite heavy
for its size (thick, quality glass). There are a couple tiny
bubbles, and one long straw mark line (manufacturing flaw). I found
two extremely tiny pinpoint nicks in the external part of the design, but
no chips or cracks. The
pattern is a series of connected octagonal optic type indentations. As
you can see in the photo, it is a bright green in normal light; in
blacklight it glows magnificently! |

Red Carnival Bowl
by Imperial Glass ~ Open Rose Pattern ~ This beautiful 8" diameter bowl has the IG
mark that identifies it as Imperial Glass Company made between 1951 to
1972. The interior of the bowl has the Open Rose or Lustre Rose
pattern, and the outside has a different floral pattern I have not been
able to identify. The Standard Encyclopedia of Carnival Glass by
Bill Edwards (6th Edition) gives the 1920's - 1930's UNsigned original
version of this bowl a book value of $3,000. This later SIGNED piece
is also hard to find and quite beautiful, but it does not command the same
astronomical value of the older bowl, although they look very
similar. The bowl is in perfect condition, has an iridescent finish radiates every
color of the rainbow, and is a deep red when held up to
the light. |

not marked, I don't know for sure. |

Cut Glass 6 Sided Bowl on 3 Feet
- Very Unusual! ~ I have not been able to locate this 6 sided
shape in any of my cut glass books so, as its not marked, I have not been
able to determine maker or age. I'm certain its an older piece, but
I don't know if it is American Brilliant Period (ABP) as it does not
glow under blacklight. The bowl is approximately 10" across the
widest point, and stands 5" tall on 3 scrolled feet. There are a
couple very tiny nicks, mostly in the exterior cut patterns, but no
significant chips or cracks. The bowl is excellent quality lead
crystal, has a deep resonating ring, and weighs just under 5 pounds. |

Red Carnival Indiana Glass Cake Plate /
Stand ~ Spectacular vintage carnival glass red cake plate in the
ORIGINAL BOX! The color is Iridescent Sunset manufactured by the
Indiana Glass Company of Dunkirk, Indiana. It's the #2364 Cake Stand, hand
made for the Heirloom Series. In beautiful condition with no chips
or cracks. In fact, it looks like it was never used. This cake plate
was originally made in two pieces by the manufacturer (top & base)
then attached to each other with an epoxy type adhesive. They are securely
attached, but unfortunately the top piece is not completely level when you
look at it at eye level. As this would be considered a manufacturing
related flaw, we do not consider it to be damage. We just wanted to
you be aware that it is being sold as it was made in this slightly
imperfect state. Measures a very large
14" in diameter and 6.5" high. It has a really wonderful
iridescent finish as you can see in the photo. A rare find,
especially in the original box! |
