Green Depression Vaseline Glass Elephant Powder Jar ~ Beautiful and hard to find large powder jar made of green vaseline glass with a elephant standing on the lid as the finial. The jar measures approximately 4.5" high to the elephant's back, and 6" across the widest part of the base. It has a bright green satin finish, and glows very nicely under black light. There is some roughness and flat flaking inside the jar base where the lid sits -- this cannot be seen without very close inspection with the lid off. (These tiny nicks are just rough to the touch... they are not sharp.) The lid has no apparent damage, although the elephant's trunk has what might be a manufacturing flaw -- a faint line can be seen about half way down on one side of the trunk on the inside of the glass. I believe it is an inclusion or bubble and not post-manufacturing damage, as it cannot be seen from the other side, and there are no external flaws to the trunk. A wonderful piece for the vanity item collector! |

Red Painted Wood & Leather Hand Decorated Fireplace Bellows ~ This is a really interesting item. Most bellows tend to be rather bland looking, but someone took the time to paint and decorate this one in red with interesting gold accents. It is made of wood and leather, and is in excellent working condition. I have no idea of the maker or vintage, but it definitely has some age. Measures approximately 16" long by 5.5" wide across the middle. The tip looks to be brass or maybe copper, and the leather is attached to the wood with some sort of metal rivets. No maker's marks that I can find. Would be a nice accessory to dress up your fireplace. |

Miniature Cast Iron Frying Pan w/ Dutch or Amish Boy & Flowers Raised Design ~ I have no idea how old this is, or who made it. I acquired this adorable miniature cast iron skillet from the estate of an Oklahoma antiques dealer. It measures approximately 4" tall from the tip of the handle to the other side, and 3.25" across from spout to spout. There are no makers marks. I understand that Griswold made some of these, as did a couple other companies. I have seen others describe this item as an ashtray -- I guess it could be, but I have no idea. In any case, it sure is cute! |

Early 1900's Stereoscope 3D Photo Viewer ~ Neat old stereoviewer made of veneered wood with a hinged handle. It measures about 12" long and 3" high at the viewer. Appears to be all original but with some old repairs (bolts/screws replaced) and general wear from age and use. The only readily apparent flaw is the chip to the veneer wood finish, as seen in the photo at the right. Comes with a colorized viewer card dated 1903 of 3 girls in the water below the Waterfalls of Minnehaha, Minneapolis. |

1920's Devon Ware Fielding's English Biscuit Jar w/ Mythological or Fishing Ocean Scene ~ Beautiful and brightly painted biscuit jar made in Stoke on Trent England between the late 1910's and 1930. The piece has a black over glaze mark and blue hand painted artist numbers on the bottom. The jar has overall tight crazing which can be seen inside, on the bottom, and in the lighter portions of the design. No chips or cracks, but there are some minor nicks and scratches on the paint in a couple places. The man and woman are holding what looks like a fishing net. The pattern is repeated all the way around the jar. The silver plated rim is marked EPNS (Electro Plated Nickel Silver). The silver plate is mostly worn off and what is left is tarnished (I'll leave it up to the buyer if they want to polish it.) A beautiful piece in exceptional condition! E-mail us if you'd like to see additional photos. |

Hand Painted PL Limoges France Pink Floral Dresser Tray ~ Gorgeous Limoges porcelain dresser tray entirely hand painted with pink flowers that look a bit like cherry blossoms on twig type stems. The tray is 12" by 8" and is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The mark on the bottom is "PL Limoges France" which indicates it was made by Porcelaine Limousine between 1931 and 1939. The floral painting is in great shape, but the gold rim is about 80% worn away from handling over the years. A very nice piece to use, display or give as a gift. |

Occupied Japan Capodimonte Style Demitasse Cup & Saucer ~ This lovely hand painted set was made in the 1940's in Japan. The cup stands 2.25" tall and the saucer is 4.75" in diameter. Both are marked "SGK Hand Painted Occupied Japan" and feature a raised design of figures. The cup shows people all the way around in a water scene. The saucer has tall grass and people working in a field, picking fruit from a tree, etc. There are no chips or cracks on either piece, but the gold design inside the cup and on the ornate handle have significant wear. The painted figures are in excellent condition with bright vibrant paint colors. A very unusual set in the Italian Capodimonte style -- very hard to find! |

1849 English Flow Blue Roman or Greek Scenic Pitcher ~ Excellent example of vintage English flow blue or willow style transferware. The scene shows several large Roman or Greek looking buildings with statues, willow type trees, and men in boats on a river with mountains in the background. Looks like it could be an interpretation of Venice or other water-dependant city. The piece is in excellent condition, but does have some minor flaws -- to be expected in a piece of 155 year old porcelain! They include: heavy overall crazing with extensive darkening/discoloration, a couple very tiny fleabites on the handle and rim, and two spots that appear to be forming cracks on the exterior (although I cannot see that they go all the way to the interior). Overall, a beautiful collector piece in great condition! |

Vintage Czechoslovakia Fruit Pattern 1 Liter Pitcher ~ Czech ceramic pottery pitcher standing 7.25" tall and about 7" wide from spout to handle. The pattern of apples, grapes, leafs and other fruit goes all the way around. No chips, but there are some firing splits, crazing and what might be a hairline in two places. I believe all these flaws are manufacturing and/or age related, as they do not appear to be damage from use. One of these vertical lines extends from the rim to the fruit, and is facing the camera. As you can see, it is not easy to notice, and does not affect the beauty of the piece. |

German Clay Jug ~ This very heavy bottle shaped jug is stamp marked as follows on the side: "Taunus Brunnen By Appointment" in English in a circle mark with what appears to be a crown in the center. Below this mark is imprinted: "J. Friedrich Grosskarben B/ Frankfurt M". Around the other side of the bottle is imprinted "W No. 10". The jug is in good condition, but does have several large chips missing off the bottom -- the largest of which is facing the camera. The loop handle and neck of the bottle are in great condition. The piece measures 11" tall with a base diameter of 3.5". Based on information provided by a collector, I believe it is a gin bottle manufactured in the late 1800's to early 1900's.

Antique French Limoges Game Bird Plate #5 ~ Beautiful early 1900's handpainted Limoges game bird plate entirely hand painted and signed by one artist (Muville), in exceptional condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, or evidence of repairs. There is one small area approx 1/8" paint wear in grass, and 4 short surface scratches in gilt rim. Eleven matching plates are available.... buyers can choose any quantity. Our price is only $150 per plate, although the 1996 Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain (2nd Edition) lists an average book value of $250 to $400 EACH for similar game plates. Each plate features a different flying and/or standing bird scene -- they appear to be quail, ducks (mallards), pheasants, geese and/or sandpipers. Each plate measures 9.5" in diameter with a 7/8" ornate scalloped gold rim. All plates from this set are double marked with underglaze green Limoges France and star (Kovels #153G) Latrille Freres Mark #1 (factory), and a red overglaze (decorator mark) Lazeyras, Rosenfeld, and Lehman Mark #3 (Encyclopedia of Limoges by M. Gaston). They were fired between 1899 and 1913, and painted no later than 1922. Both companies were contemporary to Haviland from the Limoges region of France. All plates have a very minor degree of rubbing/swirls in the gold rim from handling and/or age. Shipping is $8 for the first plate, and $2 for each additional plate. If a USA buyer purchases ALL 11 plates, we will offer FREE insured shipping in the continental USA. If you live outside the USA, contact us for your discount. |

Spindle Back Piano Chair Stool ~ Vintage spindle back oak piano chair or stool in excellent condition. Very "sit-able" and stable, seat turns to adjust height. Original glass ball eagle claw feet. The piece is generally worn, has nicks and scratches, and is in "used" condition, but very nice for its age. There are scratches and tooth marks on the front two legs (bad puppy!) which could be filled in and touched up very easily.
