Bisque Head Doll w/ Composition Body & Hand Made Clothes ~ Lovely doll in very good condition. She has jointed shoulders and hips, but fixed arms and legs. She measures about 10" long, has a synthetic wig, a bisque head, brown glass eyes. The back of her head is impressed "T.M. 83" and "JAM TM", where the TM is small like "TradeMark" would be. The composition body looks to be a newer than the head, and I believe the limbs were restrung at some point (they are a loose now). The dress and bloomers look custom, as they are almost entirely hand stitched. The white stockings are being held on to her legs with old (yellowed) tape. She is a bit dirty, but I'll leave her cleaning to the new owner. Age and maker are not known -- believed to be a vintage reproduction of an antique doll. |

1981 Dear Googly Doll Plate - Special Limited Edition of Old German Dolls ~ Mint condition plate measuring approximately 8.5" in diameter made by Seeley's Ceramic Service Inc. and designed by Mildred Seeley. It is the 1st plate in this series, and was a limited edition of only 7,500 plates. The back of the plate explains that Googly dolls were very popular between 1912 and 1914, and that they were produced in limited numbers, so are in high demand. This plate is also scarce, due to the Googly doll's popularity, and the low number of plates that were issued. Comes in the original box, but there is no certificate (I don't think they ever issued one with the plate.) |

Late 1800's China Head 13" Doll w/ Original Sawdust Stuffed Body ~ I believe the torso, arms and china hands of this doll are original to it's manufacture. The legs, however, appear to be an old replacement as the material is a bit rougher (burlap perhaps) and the "shoes" are stitched on. I'm pretty sure this doll would have originally had china boots to match her hands. The back of her neck in the porcelain is imprinted "Germany". The head and hands are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks found. There is some minor paint wear to the hair, mostly in the back. Her face is beautiful, and still has the blush on her cheeks. There is a hole in her left arm (see photo) and the sawdust is coming out. I prefer to leave her "as is" and let the new owner make repairs if desired. She measures approximately 13" tall. Unfortunately we do not have her clothes, so she is being sold as shown in the photo. Believed to be made some time between the 1860's and 1900. |

Vintage Royal Doll House Miniature Cast Iron Stove ~ I don't know much about these, but I was told that it was made for doll houses in the early 1900's, and that this is a hard to find piece. It is 4.5" tall, a little over 3" wide, and just over 2" from front to back. I believe this silver paint is the original, and that it's rare compared to the more common black stoves. Normal wear, scratches and rubs from use, but in excellent condition overall considering its age. |

Antique 1880 - 1890 German Bisque Head 19 Inch Doll w/ Kid Leather Body ~ Gebruder Kuhnlenz #41 ~ This doll has marks on the back of her neck which are are a raised letter "S" above "R. 41-4 DEP". The DEP is known to have been used by Germany and France after 1860 to indicate registration. I have not able to personally identify the makers marks, but was told by an antique doll expert that they are Gebruder Kuhnlenz. Her attributes include: 19" overall length, vintage hair (mohair? human?) wig, glass socket eyes, open mouth with 5 square teeth, bisque lower arms, and kid leather body. Her dress is quite old, but probably not original as it is machine stitched. Her flaws include: wig is detached (could easily be re-glued, but should be done professionally), missing the thumb off her left hand, her eyes are loose in the hollow head, there are stains and moth holes on her dress, the kid is coming away from the back of the neck, the shoes are in poor condition (probably not original either). Overall, a very fine quality doll in very nice condition, given her age of 100+ years. I could not find any chips or cracks to the head. The only porcelain damage I found was her left thumb. The head is a dirty and has what I believe is old glue residue spots, mostly around the back of her head and around the shoulders where the porcelain is attached to the kid body. I am reluctant to try to clean her, as I'm not an expert on dolls, and don't want to take a chance in making a mistake. Her eyes look to be glass and old (they are dark brown), but I don't know if they are original to the doll. They appear to have been either re-attached or replaced. I cannot see any damage to the eyes themselves. There is also some tissue stuffed into her head -- I think to more securely place the eyes in the right position. The eyes are "loose" if you touch them from inside the head, but they do not move around when you pick up the doll. The wig is a pretty reddish-brown. It looks old, and might be human hair, but I don't know for sure. Her kid body is intact and appears to be all original, but it's not perfect. It is very well attached to the shoulders in the front, but is coming unglued on one shoulder and in the back where people at the auction pulled it off to see her mark. (WHAT were they thinking?!) Her left arm is in good condition. Her right arm has a crack across the top near the shoulder, and the elbow has been patched. (See photo) The kid torso and metal hip joints are in very good original condition. Her left knee has a small rip/hole that looses sawdust if you move the top of the stocking. The right knee has a leather patch. It looks like her right lower leg may have come off, and it is slightly longer than the left because of how it was patched/reattached. The lower legs are fabric instead of kid - I believe she was made that way. I did not remove the stocking, but her tiny feet feel to be fully stuffed and intact. The shoes are in poor to fair condition, but there nonetheless. I don't know how old the shoes or her dress are. Additional photos available upon request. |

Stuffed Cloth Ethnic 9' Doll - Greek or Eastern European ~ Beautiful Detailed Costume ~ I wish my camera had a zoom feature so you could she her lovely face better. An older doll in great condition, with only a bit of fading to the fabric and some minor discoloration. My guess would be 1940's to 1960's vintage. Be sure to check out our shop for a matching male doll to save on combined shipping. |

Porcelain Blonde Hair & Blue Eyed Beauty 16 Inch Doll w/ Stand ~ I have no idea who made this lovely doll, but she is one of my personal favorites. She has a porcelain face with nicely painted lips and eyebrows, hair lashes, and her bright blue eyes look to be glass. Her hands are also porcelain; her body is stuffed. With ribbons and flowers in her hair, a pretty flowered dress, and nice high-top brown leather shoes, she would be the highlight of any doll collection. Her long wavy blonde hair is a tiny bit messy, but I think it makes her look more like a real little girl. I have no idea who made her. A newer doll, not antique, but exact age is unknown. |
