Thornton Utz Bisque Porcelain Figurine - A Friend in the Sky ~ Mint condition figurine measuring approximately 4.5" high and 2.5" across the widest part of the base.  The 5th issue in an original collection sculpted by artist Thornton Utz.  The series, entitled Portraits of Childhood, is Utz's first ever limited edition figurine collection.  Includes the certificate of authenticity from the Hamilton Collection.  Issued circa 1984.  Very hard to find!  We have most of the other figurines from this series listed for sale in the shop.

SOLD!

TealPorcelainCatFigurine.jpg (52591 bytes) Large Old Porcelain Cat Figurine - Bright Teal Color! ~ This vintage ceramic kitty is really unusual.  I wish I knew who made it and when, but the only discernable markings are a number 8 and a 4 in separate places on the bottom.  The rather oriental looking cat is 8" tall and about 5" across the widest point from the back to the chest.  The color is a very striking bright teal blue with a shiny glaze.  Other than some very tight and small crazing lines, I couldn't find anything to call a flaw.  This is nice quality, heavy ceramic -- the cat weighs just under 1.5 pounds.

SOLD!

DogPorcelainShepherdFigure.jpg (44943 bytes) Tall Ceramic German Shepherd Dog Figurine w/ Shiny Glaze ~ This guy is SO cute!  He stands slightly over 10" tall, is about 4" across the widest point, and is in excellent condition.  There are no chips, cracks or crazing.  The only marking is a tiny blue sticker on the bottom that reads just "Japan" -- no other makers marks.  I have no idea how old he is.  Look at that sweet face.... just BEGGING for a new owner to love him!  So whaddya say?  :-)

Thornton Utz Bisque Porcelain Figurine - Seashells ~ Mint condition figurine measuring approximately 4" high and 2.5" across the widest part of the base.  The 8th issue in an original collection sculpted by artist Thornton Utz.  The series, entitled Portraits of Childhood, is Utz's first ever limited edition figurine collection.  Includes the certificate of authenticity from the Hamilton Collection.  Issued circa 1984.  Very hard to find!  We have most of the other figurines from this series listed for sale in the shop.

SOLD!

BrownDogFigurine.jpg (25802 bytes) Small Brown Vintage Dog Porcelain Figurine ~ Made in Japan ? ~ This happy little guy is made of porcelain, probably vintage Made in Japan, although he is not marked that I can see.  He measures 2.5" tall and 4" from nose to tail.  Some manufacturing flaws, but I did not find any chips, cracks or repairs.   $10 + $4 Shipping
JapanPorcelainVase.jpg (17334 bytes) Tall JAPANESE Cream Colored Porcelain VASE w/ BIRD & Purple FLOWER Design ~ Pretty cream colored china flower vase approximately 11" tall with a nice bird and purple flower design. The bottom of the vase has a square Japanese signature mark with the word Japan inside the square. No chips or cracks. Age unknown.  $50 + $8 Shipping

CzechIridescentLargePitcher.jpg (23270 bytes) Large Czechoslovakia Pearlized Iridescent Porcelain Milk or Water Pitcher ~ This heavy white porcelain Czechoslovakian pitcher stands about 5.5" tall and is approximately 7" wide from handle to spout. It features a beautiful pearlized iridescent finish, and glows in a rainbow of colors. No chips, cracks or crazing. Would make an excellent gift.  $50 + $8 Shipping

CzechTobyLargeCracked.jpg (29613 bytes) Large & Colorful Full Figure Czechoslovakia Toby Jug / Mug ~ Brightly painted Toby measuring 6" tall and approximately 6" deep from the front point of his hat to the handle. I wish I could say he was in perfect but, alas, it has a hairline crack that runs in a circle through the piece. It starts in the front lower corner, extends up through his left leg across to the right under his left arm, down to the back corner, then across the bottom to the front corner. If you click on the photo for a close-up, you'll see that he still is an excellent display piece. This hairline is facing the camera and, as you can see in the photo, it is not easily noticed with normal inspection. Some minor paint loss around the piece. He would be worth significantly more in mint condition, and who will know the difference but you?! $25 + $10 Shipping

PinkVase.jpg (17373 bytes)

Nice 8" Tall Pink Porcelain Flower Vase - Beehive Mark ~ A very nice baby pink vase with applied flowers and gold painted trim; in perfect condition with no chips or cracks. It is marked on the bottom, but I have not been able to confirm the manufacturer or the date it was made. The mark is a beehive with 2 cross lines inside, a hatch-mark line crossing the flat portion of the hive, and a single dot over the domed portion. There is also a number 7215 under the flat portion of the mark. It is most similar to the mark used by Arnart Imports of New York between 1957 and 1981. I acquired this interesting piece in S.E. Pennsylvania.

$25 + $5.05 Shipping

PRoyalHalsey.jpg (22463 bytes)

Royal Halsey 7' Plate w/ Bird & Thistle Design ~ Beautiful white porcelain display plate in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The back is marked Royal Halsey in mark with a crown, "L H" and "Very Fine". I believe it is English made, but I have not been able to find out anything about the manufacturer.

SOLD!

CSPurpleFlowers.jpg (15361 bytes) Porcelain CUP & SAUCER Demitasse Set w/ Pretty PURPLE Flowers - Vintage Made in Japan ~ Pretty demitasse cup and saucer set in excellent condition. The cup measures 2" high; the saucer has a 4.5" diameter. There is a small flat flake on the cup's foot. The saucer has a black dot (seen in the photo) which is a manufacturing flaw. No cracks. In spite of it's flaws, this set displays nicely!  $10 + $5.05 Shipping
